THIS IS ME
My name is Linda Hartmanns and I'm born in 1989.
As a kid growing up I learned to play the piano and I sung a lot. I never dared to sing in front of anyone until I was 9 years old, then I decided to take part in a singing contest and won 1st place - my own mother hadn't even heard me sing. I started writing my own songs at the age of 14. I joined many different choirs as a kid and teenager but I didn't start studying singing until I was 22 years old, then I studied my first course in Complete Vocal Technique (hereafter called CVT) in Iceland. A year later I started studying jazz singing which I kept on the next 3 years. Meanwhile I took another course in CVT and absolutely fell in love with it.

In 2010 I joined a band called Elektra, an all girl pop/rock band. We toured in Iceland the summer of 2010 as well as performing at gay pride in Norway that same year. The band had a lot of success.
-
In 2016 I joined a reggae band called The Right Thingz and we performed at Secret Solstice festival that same year, one of the biggest music festivals in Iceland. In 2017 we toured in Europe, a tour which I organized myself.
-
In 2016 I participated in The Voice Iceland and got to the top 12 finals.
-
In 2017 I got through to the semi finals in Eurovision in Iceland with one of my original songs which was aired live on television.
-
In 2017 I took my 3rd course in CVT, a 1 year course, but this time in Copenhagen, in the Complete Vocal Institute. That gave me all the tools I needed as a singer to be able to sing exactly the way I wanted to.
-
In 2018 I released the first Christmas song I ever wrote, in Icelandic, called "Bara gleðileg jól".
-
In 2018 I started recording my own album and released it in July 2019. The album is called "Blacklight" and can be found here on my website and on Spotify as well as the Christmas song I wrote, mentioned here above.

In 2019 I started my 4th course in CVT in Copenhagen, a 3 years course, to become a vocal teacher.
